About

Kevin Probst focuses his practice on helping clients obtain short and long-term disability benefits at all stages of the process, from filing the initial claim to litigating appeals in federal court. Prior to joining Dabdoub Law Firm, Kevin spent nearly 10 years with Legal Services of Greater Miami successfully representing hundreds of clients in disability benefits, special education, and health insurance disputes.

Why Disability Law?

Kevin’s commitment to working on behalf of people with disabilities dates back to high school when he coached a Special Olympics running team and organized a 5K charity race to benefit the organization.

After serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia, Kevin moved to Washington, D.C. and taught middle school students with disabilities. It was ultimately this experience that fueled Kevin’s decision to attend law school and pursue a career in advocating for the legal rights of people with disabilities.

Education & Background

Kevin attended the University of Miami School of Law on a Miami Scholars Public Interest Scholarship, where he received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement for his clinical work representing clients, was elected president of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board, and tapped into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, the highest honor bestowed by the University of Miami.

Upon obtaining his law degree, Kevin served as the first post-graduate fellow with Miami Law’s HOPE Public Interest Resource Center before being selected as an Equal Justice Works Fellow to create a medical-legal partnership at Legal Services.

Before law school, Kevin earned a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Education from Goucher College and the George Washington University, respectively.

Kevin proudly serves on the Board of Miami Homes for All and is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
