TANJA VUCETIC PEREZ

Associate Attorney

Originally from Serbia but raised in Miami, Florida, Tanja Vucetic Perez is a first-generation attorney. She graduated from Brown University where she played Division I tennis and after living in Spain, she returned to Miami to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.

Tanja’s Practice

After graduating from law school, Tanja was one of the few law school graduates offered a position as an appellate law clerk. As a law clerk at the Fourth District Court of Appeal, Tanja gained invaluable experience on how lawsuits are litigated in the court system. She also had gained insight into how cases are viewed from the perspective of the judiciary and what legal advocacy strategies are most effective.

Tanja was eager to put to practice the skills she acquired while working as a law clerk. She joined the team at Dabdoub Law Firm where she combines her attention to detail, competitiveness, and knowledge to advocate for the rights of her clients and get them the benefits they deserve.

She now spends every day fighting for clients whose disability insurance claims were denied by insurance companies, like UNUM, MetLife, Aetna, Hartford, Lincoln Financial and more.

Tanja’s law practice is focused on claims for disability benefits where the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) applies. She also represents professionals, such as doctors, attorneys, and dentists, who have individual disability insurance policies. Many of her clients have what is commonly referred to as an own occupation disability policy.

Tanja represents clients with disability insurance claims across the country.

An Athlete Turned Lawyer

Tanja is a former NCAA Division I collegiate tennis player who also competed internationally. She began playing tennis as age 8 but the sport also taught Tanja so much about commitment and dedication to something you feel strongly about.

She brings that same commitment and dedication that she had for tennis to helping her clients as a disability insurance lawyer.

Education and Background

Tanja attended Brown University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus on Politics, Culture, and Identity. Following graduation, she lived in Madrid, Spain for two years.

Upon returning to Miami, Tanja attended NSU Shepard Broad College of Law where she graduated twelfth in her class and with summa cum laude honors. In law school, she was an Articles Editor for the Nova Law Review, a member of the NSU Trial Association, and made Dean’s List every semester for her outstanding academic achievement.

After law school, she worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judges Damoorgian and Conner at the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida.
